Gardening Services FAQS

Listed below are some of the common garden maintenance and garden service questions and answers.

If you cannot find an answer to your question, then book a free consultation today.

Answer: This can only be answered once we know how much you want your gardener to do? If you want your garden looking super-neat then a weekly maintenance visit would be essential. Fortnightly visits are the most common when there is grass to cut. If you’re happy to cut the grass then monthly is fine.

Answer: We have been members of the Gardeners Guild since 2014.

Answer: Our gardeners receive comprehensive training within the company that is tailored towards the kind of garden maintenance we undertake. This means our gardening teams know how to get great results fast at your garden. Alongside this we send our staff for outside training on key horticultural requirements.

Answer: Yes, unless agreed otherwise, we will remove the waste arising from garden tidy-ups, hedge work and other one-off gardening services and regular garden maintenance. This is then recycled.

Answer: We very rarely work weekends & evenings for the simple reason that most people would rather have their garden to themselves at these times. Our teams also need the weekend and evenings to relax after a day of physical work keeping gardens looking great.

Answer: Our usual turnaround time for most garden work is 2 weeks. Sometimes we can come more quickly to your garden, sometimes we need to advise that the work, such as Rose pruning is best done at a certain time, eg: after flowering.

Answer: However overgrown your garden is, we can get it back into shape and the majority of gardens can be spruced up in a single day.

Answer: It will depend on several factors – what garden services you need, how many gardeners will be required at your garden and the extent of gardening work required.

Answer: Of course they will. A common question as many “gardeners” don’t seem to want to deal with weeds. At SC Gardening our teams know that one of the most important garden services is weeding as garden beds won’t look much good full of dandelions, buttercups and
bindweed!

Answer: The chance would be a fine thing! No, even over winter we’re out in the gardens. There are so many gardening tasks still to do, whether that is mulching the beds, clearing up overgrown gardens or reducing out of control hedges, you’ll still find us hard at it, even in December, January & February.
